Additional information

The "Century of Service" designation marks the centenary of 1918 — the final year of World War I, in which Australian casualties since 1914 had reached over 61,000 dead. The Royal Australian Mint has issued Remembrance-themed dollars with some regularity since the 1990s, and this Lest We Forget series has become one of the more consistent annual collector streams from Canberra. Circulation strikes and coloured collector versions were both produced for 2018, with the plain aluminium bronze business strikes finding their way into general change more often than most commemoratives in the series.
