Reverse description A stylised kangaroo stands upright in the centre of the rectangular field, its body decorated with intricate geometric patterns including herringbone lines and segmented forms characteristic of Australian Aboriginal Dreaming art. The dark mirror-proof field contrasts with the frosted raised design, accentuating the decorative linework covering the animal's torso, limbs and tail. Flanking the kangaroo on both sides are bold Aboriginal motifs including concentric circles, dotted oval forms and serpentine tracks, all rendered in the traditional iconographic language of the Dreaming. The Perth Mint's mintmark P and the engraver's initials DB appear discreetly within the design.
