| Reverse description | The reverse features a richly colored depiction of Emperor Penguins (Aptenodytes forsteri) in their natural Antarctic habitat. In the foreground to the left, an adult Emperor Penguin tenderly attends to a small chick at its feet, both rendered in vivid applied color with distinctive black, white, and yellow plumage. To the right, a group of penguins in milled relief is set against a colorized background of ice formations and a deep blue polar sky.
