Obverse description The fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, occupies the central field of this rectangular silver piece. The legend ELIZABETH II and AUSTRALIA are inscribed above the effigy, with the date 2010 immediately below, while the denomination 1 DOLLAR and the fineness inscription 1oz 999 SILVER appear in the lower field. The engraver's initials IRB are incuse below the portrait truncation. The overall composition is rendered in a restrained, classical style befitting a royal effigy.

Reverse description The reverse features a stylised dolphin rendered in an Australian Aboriginal-inspired artistic style, its body oriented diagonally across the rectangular field and textured with overlapping arc motifs evoking scales and water movement. Surrounding the central figure is an intricate composition of flowing curvilinear forms, spirals, circles, and wave elements that fill the field in a manner consistent with traditional Dreaming iconography. The Perth Mint's mintmark P appears to the left of the dolphin, and the engraver's initials DB, for Darryll Bellotti, are incuse in the lower right field. The design is executed entirely without inscriptions, allowing the decorative artwork to command the full visual space. The combination of naturalistic subject matter and stylised motifs creates a striking contemporary numismatic design.
