Reverse description Two kookaburras (Dacelo novaeguineae) perched side by side on a eucalyptus branch, rendered in high relief with finely detailed plumage against a frosted field, framed by an inner beaded border. Eucalyptus foliage extends across the upper field, enhancing the naturalistic composition. The legend 'THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA' arcs along the upper periphery of the outer ring, while '1 OZ 999 SILVER' appears along the right side and the year '2009' is inscribed at the base, all separated by raised dot stops. The Perth Mint privy mark 'P20' appears in the lower inner field, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the series.
