| Reverse description | A finely sculpted kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) is depicted in high relief, perched on a branch facing left with its distinctive large bill and textured plumage rendered in intricate detail. Naturalistic foliage elements appear in the lower field beneath the branch. The curved legend THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA arcs across the upper field, while the year date 2007 appears in the lower left field and the engraver's initials JG are inscribed discreetly to the right of the bird. The fineness and weight inscription 1 oz 999 SILVER is positioned along the lower exergue, and a small P mintmark denotes the Perth Mint. |

| Additional information |
The Australian Kookaburra silver bullion series, launched in 1990, changes its reverse design annually — a deliberate strategy by the Perth Mint to drive collector demand on top of pure bullion value. The 2007 issue falls within the fourth portrait series for Elizabeth II, the Maklouf effigy having been replaced by the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait in 1998 for Australian coinage. Perth Mint's one-ounce issues from this era were produced in substantial quantities, but precise mintage figures for bullion-grade strikes were not always disclosed, complicating population estimates for registry purposes.
