Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II * AUSTRALIA 2013 FERDIN*VII* DEI*GRATIA NEW SOUTH WALES 1813 1809
Reverse description The reverse replicates the design of the original 1813 New South Wales Holey Dollar reverse, faithfully reproducing the counterstamped legends and decorative elements of the Spanish colonial host coin. The annular field displays the legend HISPAN*ET IND*REX* distributed around the outer rim, with M*8R*T*H appearing in the upper segment and ONE DOLLAR prominently inscribed across the inner border above the central hole. A wreath motif is visible at the lower portion of the field, consistent with the original eight-reales reverse design, and the reeded outer edge frames the composition in the manner of the historic milled coinage.
