| Obverse description | The fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, depicted with a diademed and elaborately coiffed hairstyle, wearing a drop earring and draped neckline. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim and AUSTRALIA 2010 along the right rim, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR inscribed along the lower border, flanked by two raised dots. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the effigy. The portrait was sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley and is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. |
