Reverse description The reverse presents a richly detailed historical scene commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade of 1854. To the left, a gold miner is depicted in period working attire carrying a rope, while to the upper right a mounted trooper on horseback surveys the scene. The coloured Eureka flag — bearing its distinctive blue Southern Cross on a white field — is shown at the lower right, rendered in pad-printed enamel colour. Flanking the central capsule containing actual gold nugget chips, the inscriptions '2004' and 'EUREKA STOCKADE' are engraved in bold relief along the lower arc of the mirror-polished field.
