Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara, rendered in the second (small) portrait style engraved by Patrick Brindley after the effigy modelled by Arnold Machin. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left arc of the field, while D·G·REGINA curves along the right. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design, and the truncation of the bust appears at the lower centre of the coin.
