Reverse description A finely detailed depiction of the Chatham Island Black Robin (Petroica traversi) perched in three-quarter profile upon a naturalistic branch, facing right with its beak inclined downward. Small leafy sprigs flank the bird on either side of the branch, adding botanical detail to the composition. The denomination 'ONE DOLLAR' is inscribed in large curved letters along the upper left field. The species identification 'CHATHAM ISLAND BLACK ROBIN' appears in two lines along the lower exergual area, serving as a conservation tribute to one of the world's rarest bird species.
