Obverse description The national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying ships and a golden apple tree, surmounted by a steel helmet and a ship's wheel crest. Two hummingbirds serve as supporters on the dexter side and a scarlet ibis on the sinister side, both standing on a stylised representation of waves. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the national motto in raised legend: TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE. The engraver's initials GC appear within the design.
