| Obverse description | The central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, featuring a shield bearing a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun, with a dove in flight above the shield and a scroll inscribed with the national motto at center. The shield is supported by decorative mantling and a ribbon scroll at the base repeating 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs across the upper field, while the date '2004' is divided at either side of the lower shield.
