Reverse description A large, sinuous Chinese dragon rendered in full colour, its dark blue-grey scaled body coiling dramatically across the fan-shaped field. The creature's underbelly is depicted in pale gold-green tones, with vivid red mane, whiskers, and flame accents framing its open-mouthed head, which faces right in the lower portion of the design. The dragon's claws grip a rocky mountain outcrop at lower left, beside which stands a traditional multi-tiered pagoda tower. Stylised clouds in black-and-white engraving fill the foreground and right field, contrasting with the coloured elements. The Perth Mint mintmark P appears at upper right within a dark field panel, and the designer's initials JM are inscribed at lower left.
