| Obverse description | Central field features the Public Seal of Niue, depicted as a crowned heraldic badge encircled by a wreath of leaves and bearing the motto 'ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI' on a ribbon below, all set within a large ship's helm or steering wheel rendered in high relief. The outer border is decorated with stylised oceanic wave scrollwork, flanked by four mythological marine figures: two trident-bearing mermaids at the sides and two winged sea creatures at the base, with a crab at the top and squid at the upper sides.
