Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed high-relief depiction of the historic double-barreled wheellock pistol made for Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, shown in two superimposed lateral views occupying the central and lower fields. The elaborately decorated stock and twin wheellock mechanisms are rendered with fine engraved ornamental detail, including grotesque masks and foliate motifs. Above the pistol views, a hunting scene is depicted in low relief, showing a mounted horseman and a foot soldier with a dog pursuing game beneath a tree. The inscriptions DOUBLE-BARRELED WHEELLOCK PISTOL arc along the upper rim, while MADE FOR EMPEROR occupies a cartouche across the mid-field, and CHARLES V appears in large letters along the lower rim. The engraver's monogram hp is visible in the lower left field.
