| Reverse description | The reverse presents a faithful polychrome colored representation of the Fabergé 'Cradle with Garlands' egg, depicted in richly gilded relief against a guilloche wave-patterned field with alternating fish-scale and wave motifs in black and white. The egg form is adorned with lavish gold swag garlands, ruby-red and diamond-white stone accents, and blue enamel geometric banding at the crown and base. The lower portion of the egg rests on four gold tapered legs above a blue enamel half-sphere base, with a crystal stone set at the nadir. Gilt acanthus scroll ornaments flank the egg at left and right, and the legend 'Fabergé Eggs' appears in serif lettering at the lower field. |
