Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, after the portrait by sculptor Dominic Dwyer. The king is depicted with a draped neckline and naturalistically detailed hair. The arc legend 'CHARLES III AUSTRALIA' curves around the upper periphery, flanked by two raised dots at the lower sides. Below the truncation, the inscriptions '1oz 9999 Ag' appear to the lower left and '1 DOLLAR' to the lower right, with the engraver's initials 'DT' incused near the base of the portrait.
