| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Charles III after the portrait by Dan Thorne, centered within an ornate scrollwork cartouche. Surrounding the central portrait, the full cycle of twelve Chinese zodiac animals is depicted in high relief, arranged in a ring around the cartouche, with the Horse prominently positioned at the apex.
