Australia's koala silver dollar series has run since 1988, making it one of the longer-lived bullion programs from the Royal Australian Mint. This 2026 issue marks only the second year the series carries the effigy of Charles III — his first portrait, sculpted by Martin Jennings, was adopted by Commonwealth mints following the King's accession in September 2022 and introduced to Australian coinage in 2023.
