| Obverse description | The obverse features the diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, occupying the rounded lower lobe of the Yin-Yang teardrop-shaped flan, rendered in proof finish against a polished field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim, with FIJI and ONE DOLLAR flanking the portrait to the upper right, and the date 2010 appearing in the exergue below the bust. The inscription 1 OZ 999 SILVER is engraved along the curved upper extension of the teardrop form. The portrait is consistent with the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy widely used on Commonwealth coinage of this era. |
