| Obverse description | Three helmeted cyclists rendered in high relief occupy the central field, depicted in a dynamic forward-racing composition as seen from a low frontal perspective, their bicycles converging toward the viewer along a stylized road. The five-ring Olympic symbol appears in the lower left field, accompanied by the legend 'USA' above it. To the right, the inscriptions 'XXVI OLYMPIAD' and 'LIBERTY' are arranged vertically in the field.
