| Obverse description | The obverse is struck in the form of a fully opened traditional Asian folding fan, with radiating ribs and folded pleats extending from a central pivot point at the bottom. At the centre of the fan, the national arms of Palau are depicted within a circular cartouche, flanked by six five-pointed stars arranged in an arc. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs above the arms along the upper register, while the denomination 1$ appears below the arms near the pivot. The series name RAINBOW'S END is inscribed within the exergual area beneath the coat of arms. |
