| Obverse description | Central field depicts the Winged Victory (Angel de la Independencia) atop its tall Corinthian column, the gilded female figure with outstretched wings sculpted by Enrique Alciati and restored between 1957 and 1959, flanked by subsidiary allegorical figures at the column's base. The monument is set against a stylised sunburst background rendered in vivid colour consistent with the Mexican national palette. The Coat of Arms of the Republic of Liberia appears prominently, accompanied by the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE. Surrounding legends read REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA and 1 DOLLAR, with the denomination ONE DOLLAR and the fineness mark 1/10 OZ. AG 999 also inscribed in the field, and the date 2026 positioned in the lower portion. |
