| Obverse description | Facing portrait of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, rendered in high relief by engraver Don Everhart, occupying the central field. Lincoln is depicted with his characteristic short beard and formal attire including a bow tie, his gaze directed squarely forward in a dignified and sober manner. The legend 'ABRAHAM LINCOLN' curves along the upper periphery, while 'IN GOD WE TRUST' appears along the lower left and '16th PRESIDENT' and the dates '1861-1865' arc along the lower right, all within a raised border. The engraver's initials 'DE' appear discreetly in the lower field of the portrait. The design is part of the Presidential Dollar series authorized by the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a dynamic rendering of the Statue of Liberty in three-quarter view, her right arm raised aloft bearing a torch and her left arm cradling a tablet, with her radiate crown clearly detailed. The denomination '$1' is inscribed to the left of the figure in the central field. The legend 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' curves around the full periphery of the coin, reading from the lower left upward and across the top. A thin inner circle frames the central design, separating it from the surrounding legend. The engraver's initials appear in small relief near the base of the figure. |
