| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a sailing ship on the sea, a plough and a spade in the foreground, and a palm tree with a rising sun on the right, all within a shield surmounted by a dove in flight. The shield is flanked by decorative scrollwork.
