| Obverse description | The obverse features a large circular U.S. Marshal's star badge rendered in high relief at the center of the field, inscribed with 'U.S. MARSHAL' along its upper arc and flanked by the commemorative dates '1789–2014.' Below the badge, a dynamic low-relief scene depicts a mounted posse of marshals on horseback in pursuit across an open landscape, with a small five-pointed star visible in the foreground ground line.
