| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, featuring a shield divided into three sections depicting a bearded fig tree and two pride-of-Barbados flowers, supported on the left by a dolphin and on the right by a pelican, with a helmet and mantling above surmounted by a hand grasping two pieces of sugarcane. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The date 2022 is divided flanking the shield, with small trident symbols positioned below each half of the date.
