Reverse description A large stylised trident — the principal national symbol of Barbados — is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, its three prongs extending upward against a background of engraved horizontal wavy lines evoking the sea. The design is enclosed by a beaded inner border. The denomination ONE DOLLAR arcs along the lower portion of the inner circle, while the inscriptions .999 FINE SILVER and ONE TROY OUNCE appear in small lettering along the left and right inner margins respectively, confirming the coin's bullion specifications.
