Obverse description The full Arms of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago are rendered in high relief at centre, featuring a quartered shield charged with two hummingbirds and three Spanish galleons, supported by an Ibis dexter and a Cocrico sinister, with a steel ship's wheel and coconut palm crest above. Two scrolled banners below the shield bear the national motto TOGETHER WE ASPIRE in the dexter scroll and TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE in the sinister scroll. The legend REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, while the date is prominently displayed in large numerals at the bottom of the field.
