Reverse description
The reverse features a reproduction of the motif that adorned the proof and specimen dollars issued in 1997. To mark the 10th anniversary of the one-dollar circulation coin, Canadian artist Jean-Luc Grondin revisited the famous motif on the reverse, depicting the loon taking flight. The field is enhanced by a reverse gold plating, and the silver surface of the coin draws the eye to the engraved relief in the center, surrounded by the words `CANADA` and `DOLLAR`, as well as the vintage `2019`.
