Reverse description
Crowned double L monogram within wreath. In the 17th and 18th Century, New France was faced with coin shortages. When France was shipping in more coins on the ship `Le Chameau` in 1725, it crashed off the coast of Cape Breton and all the coins were lost. In 1965 these coins were found again. This coin`s design features a replica of the original gold coins from `Le Chameau.`
