Obverse description Three horizontal lines of Persian script fill the central field, reading from top to bottom: 'Riyaasat' (State), 'Junagadh', and 'Yak Paisa' (One Paisa). The legends are rendered in a bold, angular hand within a plain circular flan with no border decoration. The inscription identifies the issuing princely state and denomination in Persian, the administrative script of the Nawabs of Junagadh.
