Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Persian inscription occupying the majority of the field, executed in a bold, angular Naskh hand characteristic of early nineteenth-century Kathiawar princely coinage. The legend, arranged in two principal registers, references the mint and regnal year. Small pellet ornaments are interspersed within the field. The flan edges are rough and uneven, a typical feature of hammered copper issues from this region and period. Surface patination shows green cuprite deposits consistent with long burial or extended circulation.
