Obverse description Central field divided into multiple circular and rectangular cartouches containing Kufic Arabic inscriptions arranged around a central medallion, typical of Buyid multi-compartment dirham design. The layout features four subsidiary roundels disposed in quadrants around the central field, each enclosing portions of the religious or titular legend. An outer marginal band carries an additional Arabic inscription in angular Kufic script running along the entire circumference. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered medieval Islamic coinage.
