Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a decorative inner circle, surrounded by a segmented outer border. The inscription, executed in Kufic script, is organized in horizontal registers within the inner medallion. An additional marginal legend in Arabic script runs along the circumference between the inner circle and the outer beaded border. The die work is characteristic of Taifa-period hammered coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges typical of the Zaragoza mint in the mid-eleventh century.
