Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in fluid Naskh script, arranged within an irregular flan typical of hammered Islamic dirhams of the period. The legend references the Sharifate authority and the name of the ruler Qatadah ibn Idris. A decorative cartouche or arch frames the uppermost element of the inscription. The lettering is boldly struck with characteristic medieval Arabian calligraphic style, with some weakness at the periphery owing to the irregular planchet.

Reverse description Reverse field displaying a compact Arabic inscription in Naskh script, less legible than the obverse due to a softer strike and surface granularity typical of base-quality hammered silver. The text occupies the central field within a plain border, with additional legend fragments visible toward the upper portion of the flan. The overall style is consistent with Hijazi coinage of the early 13th century CE, struck under the authority of the Hasanid Sharifs of Mecca.
