Reverse description Obverse type repeated on the reverse, with multiple lines of Arabic legend in angular Kufic script disposed within the compartments of an eight-pointed interlaced star. The radiating geometric framework divides the field into distinct segments, each bearing portions of the religious and dynastic inscriptions. A beaded border encircles the entire design, closely following the irregular edge of the hammered flan. The high-relief lettering displays the bold, rectilinear character typical of Rassid coinage of the late thirteenth century AH.
