Obverse description Entirely epigraphic design with multiple lines of Arabic script filling the central field, presenting religious and dynastic legends in bold raised relief. The inscription is arranged in horizontal lines across the flan and references the Almohad ruler Muhammad al-Wathiq and his titles. The field shows the characteristic Almohad hammered style with slightly irregular flan surfaces. The legends are framed by a beaded inner border running along the coin's periphery. The script is rendered in a dense, angular Kufic-derived style typical of late Almohad silver coinage from al-Andalus.
