| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged within a decorative geometric frame formed by interlocking angular borders typical of Buyid coinage. The shahada and additional pious formulae are inscribed in angular Kufic script across the central area, with further marginal inscriptions running within the framing band. The overall composition is characteristic of the epigraphic style prevalent in Buyid silver dirhams of the mid-5th century AH. |
