Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic Kufic legend arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, typical of early 11th-century Islamic hammered coinage. The inscription, executed in bold relief against a plain field, contains the kalima and religious formulae standard to Ismaili Fatimid-influenced issues. The irregular planchet exhibits characteristic surface textures of billon coinage, with the legend occupying the full field bounded by a plain linear border. Letter forms display the angular Kufic style prevalent in Syrian mint production of this period.
