| Obverse description | Central field bears a four-line Arabic Kufic inscription declaring the shahada: 'There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner,' enclosed within a single-line inner border. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script surrounds the central field, recording the mint name Andaraba and the date of striking (year 270 AH). The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered provincial Islamic coinage, with a beaded inner border partially visible. |
