| Reverse description | Epigraphic reverse displaying multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic legend filling the central field, with a partial inner circle visible near the lower portion of the flan. The inscription bears Islamic religious formulae including the Shahada and references to Abbasid suzerainty, alongside the names of the joint rulers Abu'l-Hasan 'Ali II and Abu'l-Ma'ali Sharif II. A beaded or rope border runs along the outer edge of the flan. The surface exhibits characteristic billon oxidation with greenish-brown patination consistent with the alloy composition. |
