Reverse description Central field contains a four-line Arabic inscription in Kufic-influenced script, naming the Prophet Muhammad as the Messenger of God, followed by the Abbasid caliph al-Qadir Billah and the local Ziyadid ruler Yahya ibn Abi Hashid, arranged in horizontal registers. A single inner circular border frames the central inscription, while the marginal legend, running between two concentric circles, bears the Quranic verse of the Mission (Quran 9:33) in continuous Arabic script. The flan is of irregular shape consistent with hand-hammered production, and the relief is bold where the die has struck fully, with some areas of weakness characteristic of the type.
