Obverse description King Shaka depicted standing to the left in full regalia, sacrificing over a flaming altar; his right hand extends forward holding a standard or scepter, while a trident appears in the left field. A Brahmi letter 'bi' is inscribed to the left of the figure, with the syllable 'sidam' beneath the king's arm and the royal name 'Shaka' inscribed to the right. The figure is rendered in the characteristic Kushano-Sasanian artistic tradition, with elaborate drapery and regalia details visible in the relief.
