Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of King Kanishka I standing, depicted in Kushan royal attire consisting of a long belted tunic, trousers, and heavy boots. The king wears a distinctive pointed or flamed helmet and holds a long spear or sceptre in his left hand, while his right hand extends forward, likely offering incense over a small altar at his feet. A tamgha or dynastic symbol appears in the lower left field. The surrounding legend in Greek characters reads BACIΛЄYC BACIΛЄΩN KANHÞKOY, identifying him as King of Kings Kanishka, with the inscription running around the entire coin within a border of dots.
