| Reverse description | Central field inscribed in multiple horizontal lines of Kufic script carrying the second part of the Shahada and the name of the Abbasid caliph al-Mu'tadid, along with the mint name Misr (Egypt) and the Hijri date. Above the central inscription block, the word 'الله' (Allah) appears as a single word in the uppermost register of the field. The central text is enclosed within a single inner circle bordered by a dotted ring, surrounded by a continuous marginal circular legend in Kufic script. The name of Jaysh ibn Khumarawayh, the Tulunid governor, appears in the lower register, asserting Tulunid authority under nominal Abbasid suzerainty. |
