Obverse description The state coat of arms of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia occupies the central field, depicting a torch with a flame rising at its tip, symbolising the revolution, surrounded by six stalks of wheat bound at the base by a ribbon inscribed with the founding date 29.XI.1943 — commemorating the second session of AVNOJ. A five-pointed star surmounts the torch. The circular legend reads in Cyrillic at top 'СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА' and in Latin at bottom 'SFR JUGOSLAVIJA', separated by small ornamental crosses, all within a beaded border.

Reverse description The large numeral '1' dominates the central field, flanked on either side by stylised wheat ear sprays, referencing the FAO theme of world food production. An arc of text above reads 'FIAT PANIS' in Latin, with a bilingual circular legend of denomination reading '·ДИНАР·DINAR·ДИНАР·DINAR·' encircling the numeral. Below the central figure the date '·1976·' is inscribed, and at the base the acronym 'FAO' appears in widely spaced Latin capitals, all contained within a plain border.
