| Obverse description | Central field displays three horizontal lines of bold Kufic Arabic inscription arranged within a linear border, with the Shahada and Quranic formula distributed across the registers. A concentric circular legend in Kufic script encircles the central panel, running along the inner margin. An outer dotted or beaded border frames the entire design. The die-work is characteristic of early Zaydi Rassid hammered gold coinage, with angular Kufic letterforms showing competent execution typical of provincial Islamic mint production of the early 4th century AH. |

| Reverse description | Central field contains four or five horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic inscription occupying the majority of the flan, presenting the name and titles of the Zaydi Imam al-Hadi ila al-Haqq Yahya. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script surrounds the central text panel, separated by a linear border. The outer edge is defined by a dotted or pellet border. The irregular flan and slightly uneven strike are consistent with hand-hammered Rassid dinar production, with the legends generally well-centered despite the irregularity of the planchet. |
