| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a double rectangular frame, bearing religious formulae including the Shahada and the ruler's titles. A single line of Arabic script appears above the rectangle in an arched panel, and a further inscription runs below the frame. The entire design is enclosed within a broad beaded border typical of Marinid gold coinage, the irregular flan showing characteristic hammer-struck surfaces. |
