| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious and dynastic legend arranged within a plain rectangular cartouche. A marginal inscription in Arabic script encircles the central panel along all four sides, separated by a single linear border. The lettering is executed in a bold Maghribi Thuluth style characteristic of Marinid gold coinage, with the text reading from right to left. The overall composition is consistent with the square-in-circle layout standard to western Islamic dinars of this period. |

| Reverse description | Central field features a multi-line Arabic inscription set within a rectangular cartouche, bearing the ruler's name and titles together with religious formulae, all rendered in the bold Maghribi calligraphic tradition. A marginal legend in Arabic script runs around the perimeter of the coin, enclosed between two concentric linear borders, referencing the mint of Madinat Fas (Fez) and the date of issue. The hammered flan is slightly irregular in outline, as is typical of Marinid gold dinars. The reverse layout mirrors the obverse in its square-in-circle arrangement, a hallmark of Almohad-derived coinage perpetuated by the Marinid dynasty. |
